Paul A. Hodges
or Rev. Paul as he is sometimes called sings and plays the
blues with a style all his own. His influences range from
BB King, Eric Clapton, Debbie Davies, John Lee Hooker,
Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughn and many more.
A native of
Naples NY, he started playing folk music at age 14 then
switched to jazz when he attended MCC for music in the
early 70's. In the mid 70's music got put on the shelf in
exchange for life’s hard road.
When the early
80's rolled around it was time to get off of life's hard
road and music was definitely part of the new life. This
time the music chose the man and it was the Blues.
Paul has been
performing in and around the Rochester area for the past
10 years. He is either playing it solo or as a duo with
one of the areas great harp players.
2006 was the
year for the first CD-”Nothin but the Blues”.
Followed by “Blues by Myself” released in 2008
and “Little Black Dog Blues” in 2009.
